Merangkai Makna Hidup pada Quarter-Life Crisis Dewasa Awal melalui Konseling Islam

Abstract
Quarter-life crisis is a psychological phenomenon commonly experienced by individuals in early adulthood due to identity uncertainty, social pressures, career demands, and the search for life meaning. Among young Muslims, this phenomenon is not only related to psychological aspects but also involves spiritual dimensions and life orientation. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of quarter-life crisis from an Islamic perspective and examine the integration of logotherapy and Islamic counseling in addressing this condition.
This study employs a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method through the analysis of literature related to emerging adulthood, quarter-life crisis, existential psychology, logotherapy, and Islamic spiritual concepts such as muhasabah (self-reflection), tazkiyat al-nafs (purification of the soul), tawakkul (trust in God), and the meaning of life. The findings indicate that quarter-life crisis is not merely a psychological crisis but also a process of meaning-making that can be directed through self-reflection and spiritual strengthening. Sociocultural factors, including career uncertainty, social expectations, and changing life demands, contribute to the intensification of crises among young adults. From an Islamic perspective, this condition can be understood as part of ibtila’ (life trials) as well as an opportunity to develop self-awareness and a more meaningful life orientation. The integration of logotherapy and Islamic counseling provides an approach to assist individuals in discovering life meaning and strengthening their spiritual relationship with Allah.
