EPISTEMOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SEARCH FOR DIVINE TRUTH IN THE STORY OF PROPHET ABRAHIM IN THE QUR'AN AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ISLAM

This study aims to analyze the epistemology of the search for divine truth in the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) in the Qur'an and reconstruct its relevance as a paradigm for the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials. Previous studies tend to place the story of Prophet Ibrahim only as a narrative of monotheism and moral example, while the epistemological dimension regarding the process of forming religious knowledge through the integration of reason, observation, critical dialogue, and revelation has not been studied systematically in the perspective of Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data analysis is carried out through a combination of maudhu'i and hermeneutic interpretation approaches, namely by identifying verses related to the search for the truth of Prophet Ibrahim in QS. Al-An'ām verses 74–78, QS. Maryam verses 42–48, QS. Al-Anbiya' verses 52–67, and QS. Asy-Syu'arā' verses 70–82, then interpreting their epistemological meaning in the context of the development of Islamic education. The research results show that the epistemology of the Prophet Abraham was developed through an inquiry process that integrates rationality, empirical experience, critical reflection, and revelation as the ultimate source of truth. The research findings resulted in a model of the epistemology of the Prophet Abraham as a paradigm for developing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials based on inquiry-reflective learning that connects the cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions of students. This model provides a theoretical contribution to the development of Islamic education epistemology as well as a practical contribution to the design of dialogical, contextual, and transformative Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning
