METODE ISTIMBATH HUKUM IBN TAIMIYAH (Analisis terhadap Kitab Majmu’ Fatawa Karya Taqiyuddin Ahmad Ibn Taimiyah)

Abstract


Ibnu Taimiyah was the descent of Abul Abbas Taqiuddin Ahmad bin Abdus Salam bin Abdullah bin Taimiyah al Harrani, people called him Ibnu Taimiyah. He was born on 22nd January 1263/ 10th Rabiul Awwal 661 H. He passed away in 1328/ 20th Dzulhijjah 728 H. He was a brain ware and Islamic clergy from Harran, Turkey.  He discussed Islamic law and studies a lot in his Majmu’ al-Fatawa book. Accordingly, Ibnu Taimiyah and Hambali both applied Istimbath method for Islamic law. He used to use zhahir verse and prophetic tradition more than ra’yu.
