Abstract

This research aims to analyze changes in student subjective well-being (SWB) after using web-based guidance and counseling (BK) media, and specifically tests whether there are differences in student SWB scores before and after usage. University students face various academic, social, and personal demands that affect their psychological state, highlighting the importance of digital counseling services to expand access. A preliminary study of 100 student respondents showed high daily internet usage (75% using internet > 6 hours/day) and a strong need for digital services (60% preferred online sharing, 70% needed counseling, and 80% would use web-based BK). The study developed a web-based BK media featuring online counseling, personal-social assessments, and self-access guidance materials. The development employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Results of product validation by experts showed that the media is highly feasible, with media expert validation scoring 92.71% and material expert validation scoring 88.22%. This web-based BK media serves as an effective alternative or complement to expand students' access to psychological support.
