*Ittishol: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Dakwah* was first published in 2023 (Volume 1, Number 1). The journal is managed by the Master’s Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting at the State Islamic University (UIN) Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan. Initiated by the Head of the Master’s Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI), Dr. Icol Dianto, S.Sos.I, M.Kom.I, and supported by the program's faculty and students, the journal successfully established itself and began regular publication in 2023.
In 2024 (Volume 2, Number 1), the journal obtained an Online ISSN from the BRIN ISSN Center of the Republic of Indonesia (e-ISSN 3062-6986). Subsequently, in September 2024, *Ittishol* also secured a Print ISSN (p-ISSN 3063-5373).
To enhance publication quality and work towards SINTA accreditation, *Ittishol* has consistently adopted a new template. A notable change is the citation format: the journal now utilizes APA Style (7th Edition). Consequently, starting with *Ittishol: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Dakwah* Volume 2, Number 2 (December 2024), the new template has been implemented, with every article consistently adhering to APA Style (7th Edition). Thanks to the efforts of Icol Dianto, S.Sos.I, M.Kom.I, supported by the study program's lecturers and students, the journal has successfully established itself and achieved regular publication in 2023.
