Pengaruh Asupan Gizi Ibu Hamil terhadap Risiko Disabilitas Anak dalam Perspektif Ilmu Kesehatan dan Pendidikan Agama Islam
Abstract
Nutritional needs during pregnancy play a crucial role in determining maternal health and the growth and development of the fetus. Deficiencies in essential nutrients such as folic acid, iron, and iodine during pregnancy can increase the risk of having a child with disabilities, including physical and cognitive disorders. From the perspective of Islamic Religious Education, maintaining the health of oneself and one's offspring is a mandate that must be maintained, in line with the principle of maqashid sharia in maintaining the soul (hifz al-nafs) and offspring (hifz al-nasl). This study aims to examine the relationship between nutritional adequacy of pregnant women and the risk of disability in children, reviewed from the perspective of Health Science and Islamic Religious Education. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The findings of the study indicate that optimal fulfillment of nutritional needs during pregnancy plays a role in preventing fetal development disorders and supporting the birth of a healthy and productive generation. In addition, Islamic teachings also emphasize the importance of providing inclusive education to all children, including children with special needs, as part of efforts to build a civilized civilization. Thus, the integration of health values and Islamic principles in nutrition education is very necessary to form a generation that is strong physically, mentally, and spiritually.
