The Effect of the Application of the Realistic Mathematics Learning Model (PMR) on Student Learning Outcomes of Number and Calculation Materials

Abstract


This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the realistic mathematics learning model (RMR) on student learning outcomes in number and calculation material for grade IV of SD Negeri 200304 Padangsidimpuan. This study was conducted in September 2025. This type of research is quantitative research using the Pre-Experimental Design method, while the design used is One Group Pre-test Post-test. The population in this study was 29 people. The sample of this study was fourth grade students of SD Negeri 200304 Padangsidimpuan with a total of 29 people consisting of 18 boys and 11 girls. The instruments used were observation sheets and test sheets. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the help of SPSS 22. Based on the results of descriptive analysis using the Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMR) model, an average value of 69 was obtained which was included in the "Good" category. Student learning outcomes on number and calculation material using the mathematics learning model (PMR) were 68.27. This was shown in the test results, pretest of 31.20 and posttest of 68.27. Next is the inferential statistical analysis using the "t-test". The results of calculations carried out using the help of SPSS 22 obtained thitung> ttabel namely 23.048> 2.048, besides Sig (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.05 then Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, meaning that the Realistic Mathematics Learning Model (PMR) Influences the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students of SD Negeri 200304 Padangsidimpuan.
