FOMO DAN MEDIA SOSIAL: DAMPAK PERILAKU KONSUMTIF TERHADAP KESEHATAN MENTAL DAN KEUANGAN DARI PERSPEKTIF ISLAM
Fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) semakin menjadi perhatian di era digital, terutama di kalangan generasi muda yang aktif di media sosial. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak FoMO terhadap perilaku konsumtif dan implikasinya terhadap kesehatan mental serta keuangan individu dari perspektif Islam. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial berkontribusi dalam pembentukan FoMO, yang memicu perilaku membeli impulsif dan ketidakpuasan hidup. FoMO berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental, meningkatkan kecemasan dan stres, serta mengganggu stabilitas keuangan. Melalui Maqashid Syariah, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya menjaga jiwa (Hifz an-Nafs) dan harta (Hifz al-Mal) dalam mengelola perilaku konsumtif. Nilai-nilai Islam seperti kesederhanaan, syukur, dan pengendalian diri dapat membantu individu mengatasi kecenderungan konsumtif yang merugikan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang hubungan antara FOMO, media sosial, dan perilaku konsumtif, serta menekankan pentingnya prinsip-prinsip Islam dalam menjaga kesejahteraan individu secara menyeluruh.
