Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab  is a peer-reviewed journal on Journal Of Educational Sciences And Arabic Languages. This journal is published by the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Tarbiyah dan ILmu Keguruan UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan in partnership with IMLA (Association of Arabic Lecturers). Editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Arabic Education around the world to submit scholarly articles to be published through this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication. Each author is solely responsible for the content of published articles.

Thariqah Ilmiah journal publishes original research and review articles on the topics of Arabic language education, including 1) Arabic language learning, 2) teaching Arabic as a foreign language, and 3) Arabic language studies.

All articles submitted to Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab  undergo a screening and review process by the Editorial Board to ensure that they follow the scope of the journal and have sufficient academic quality and novelty to interest Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab  The manuscripts will then be sent to the Peer-Reviewers for a Double-Blind Peer-Review Process in which both reviewers and authors' identities remain anonymous.

THE STEPS COVER: >> Initial screening >> peer review (there may be the first and second round) >> first decision (there may be the second, third decision, etc.) >> revision stage (there may be the first, second, third revision, etc.) >> final decision

  • Initial screening: Newly-submitted manuscripts will be filtered by the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board for compliance with the scope of the Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab  and basic stylistic and bibliographic requirements, and for plagiarism using Turnitin software (the paper similarity index should be maximum 20%);
  • Peer review: If the manuscript passes the initial screening stage, the manuscript will be assigned to the Editor, who will then send it to at least two experts in the relevant field to undergo a double-blind peer review. Manuscripts that fail to pass the initial screening will be rejected without further review;
  • First decision: Decisions on manuscripts that are peer-reviewed will be made after receiving at least two review reports. In cases where the reports differ significantly, the Editor will invite additional reviews before making a decision. At this stage, a manuscript can be rejected, requested to be revised (small or large), accepted as is, or (if significant changes to the language or content are recommended) recommended to be sent back for a second-round review process. If accepted, the manuscript will be returned to the author for formatting. The final decision to accept the manuscript will be made by the Editor in Chief based on recommendations from the Editor and following approval by the Editorial Team;
  • Revision stage: A manuscript that needs revision will be returned to the submitting author, who will have up to seven days to format and revise the manuscript, which will then be reviewed by the Editor. The Editor will determine whether the changes are adequate and appropriate and whether the author has responded sufficiently. If not, then the cycle will be repeated with the manuscript returned to the submitting author for further revision;
  • Final decision: At this stage, the revised manuscript will be accepted or rejected. This decision depends on whether the Editor believes the manuscript has been upgraded to a level suitable for publication. If the author has not made the necessary changes or has made it to a level below the Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab standard, the manuscript will be rejected.

Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab is a peer-reviewed journal, available in print and online and published 2 times a year. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer­­­­­ and the publisher Program Studi Pendidikan Bhasa Aab Padangsidimpuan). This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Plagiarism Checker

The article can be reviewed by the editor board after completing the attachment of the plagiarism checker and stating that the article at least 75% is origin using tools of checker [TurnitinPlagiarisma, and Grammarly].

Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines Publishing an article in the peer-reviewed journal Thariqah Scientific: Journal of Educational Sciences and Arabic Language is an important cornerstone in the development of a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree on standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the public.

Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguran, UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan as the publisher of Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing exceptionally seriously, and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint, or additional commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. Besides, the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan, UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan, and the Editorial Board will assist in communications with other journals and publishers where this is useful and necessary.

Publication decisions

The editor of the Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should publish. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Fair play

An editor at any time evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest 

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's research without the author's express written consent.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and the editorial communications with the author may also help the author in improving the paper.

Promptness

Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

Confidentiality

Any manuscripts received for review must treat as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should conduct objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that the authors have not cited. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument reported should accompany the appropriate citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Duties of Authors

Reporting standards

Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention

Authors are asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases), if practicable, and should, in any event, be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original actions and if the authors have used the works, or words of others that this has appropriately cited or quoted.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

An author should not, in general, publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same paper concurrently to more than one journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the article and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work, it is the obligation of the author to immediately notify the editor of the journal or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author.

Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab published by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab  UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan recognizes that plagiarism is not acceptable for all authors and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified by Thariqah Thariqah Ilmiah: Jurnal ilmu-ilmu Kependidikan dan Bahasa Arab anti-plagiarism software detection using Turnitin software (https://www.turnitin.com) in an article that is submitted for publication.
“Plagiarism is copying another person’s text or ideas and passing the copied material as your own work. You must both delineate (i.e., separate and identify) the copied text from your text and give credit to (i.e., cite the source) the source of the copied text to avoid accusations of plagiarism. Plagiarism is considered fraud and has potentially harsh consequences including loss of a job, loss of reputation, and the assignation of reduced or failing grade in a course."
This definition of plagiarism applies to copied texts and ideas:

Regardless of the source of the copied text or idea.
Regardless of whether the author(s) of the text or idea you have copied actually copied that text or picture from another source.
Regardless of whether or not the authorship of the text or idea that you copy is known
Regardless of the nature of your text (journal paper/article, web page, book chapter, paper submitted for a college course, etc) into which you copy the text or idea
Regardless of whether or not the author of the source of the copied material gives permission for the material to be copied; and
Regardless of whether you are or are not the author of the source of the copied text or idea (self-plagiarism).
When plagiarism is identified by the Plagiarism Checker (using Turnitin software),  the Editorial Board is responsible for the review of this paper and will agree on measures according to the extent of plagiarism detected in the article in agreement with the following guidelines:
1.  Minor Plagiarism: A small sentence or short paragraph of another manuscript is plagiarized without any significant data or ideas from other papers or publications.
Punishment: A warning is given to the authors and a request to change the manuscript and properly cite the original sources.
2.  Intermediate Plagiarism: A significant data, paragraph, or sentence of an article is plagiarized without proper citation to the original source.
Punishment: The submitted article is automatically rejected.
3.  Severe Plagiarism: A large portion of an article is plagiarized that involves many aspects such as reproducing original results (data, formulation, equation, law, statement, etc.), ideas, and methods presented in other publications.
Punishment: The paper is automatically rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles to the journal.
