Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES


Authors must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines and manuscript template. Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format unless otherwise specified by the journal.



Manuscript Requirements:



  • Structure: Title, Abstract & Keywords (English & Indonesian), Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations (Funding, Conflicts of Interest, AI Usage), and References.

  • Formatting: Microsoft Word (.docx), clear typography, 1.15 line spacing, 2.5 cm margins.

  • Tables & Figures: Numbered consecutively with clear captions and source indications.

  • Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words including references.



Referencing Style

At-Tijaroh uses the APA 7th Edition referencing style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or equivalent reference management tools.



References Specifications

Research articles should generally contain at least 25 relevant references. Authors are encouraged to prioritize primary and peer-reviewed scholarly sources. A substantial proportion of references should preferably consist of recent scholarly literature, particularly publications from the last 5–10 years, while classical, seminal, or foundational works (such as classical fiqh/turats treatises) may be retained when academically relevant.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
