Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the author's explicit written consent. Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and, where necessary, withdraw from handling manuscripts in which such conflicts could compromise their impartiality.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making informed publication decisions. Through constructive and evidence-based feedback, reviewers also help authors improve the quality, clarity, and scholarly contribution of their manuscripts.
Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to evaluate a manuscript or who are unable to complete the review within the required timeframe must promptly notify the editor and decline the review assignment.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, or discuss submitted manuscripts with others unless authorized by the editor.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively and professionally. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their evaluations clearly and support their comments with relevant arguments, evidence, and scholarly references.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has previously been reported must be supported by an appropriate citation. Reviewers should also inform the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and other published works of which they are aware.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Information or ideas obtained through peer review must remain confidential and must not be used for personal advantage. Where necessary, the editor may seek an additional assessment from a third reviewer before reaching a final decision.
Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors reporting original research must present an accurate account of the research conducted and an objective discussion of its significance. Research data must be presented accurately, and manuscripts should contain sufficient detail and references to allow readers to understand and, where appropriate, reproduce the research. Fraudulent, fabricated, falsified, or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts constitute original scholarly work. Any use of the ideas, data, arguments, or words of others must be appropriately acknowledged through proper citation and, where necessary, quotation. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors must not publish substantially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication without appropriate justification and disclosure. Submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is not permitted.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Authors must provide appropriate acknowledgment of all sources that have significantly contributed to their research. Publications and other scholarly works that have influenced the research design, analysis, arguments, or interpretation must be properly cited.
Authorship of the Paper
